The Waterside Hotel Inverness, Inverness

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location is absolutely stunning with open views across the River Ness and a short walk into the town center. The service was mostly pleasant and accommodating, although some small mistakes were noticeable. The dining experience, while satisfactory, could use some improvements. The rooms, despite being in a quiet annex, needed some minor maintenance and had a clinical feel to them.

I was delighted with the hotel's unique attic conversion room, despite its curious shape, for £170 per night, with a view of the adjacent building. The service was excellent, starting with a warm welcome at Glen Moir for breakfast and later moving us to a charming 2-bedroom cottage. The location was perfect for my Loch Ness Marathon as it sits by the beautiful River Ness and just across from the Eden Court Theater, with basilica and river views all around.
